#Why this exists

This policy keeps Retales safe for clients, creators and our team, and helps us meet the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as amended. It applies to everything you upload, send or publish through Retales, including messages, files, comments, briefs and campaigns.

#Content you must not upload, share or ask us to make

  • Anything that belongs to someone else and that you have no right to use.
  • Anything obscene or pornographic, or that invades someone's privacy, including their bodily privacy.
  • Anything harassing, defamatory or hateful, or that insults or harms people because of their gender, religion, caste, race, ethnicity or disability.
  • Anything harmful to children, or any sexual content involving children.
  • Anything that infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other rights.
  • Anything that misleads people about where it came from, or knowingly spreads false or misleading information.
  • Anything that impersonates another person or business.
  • Deepfakes, or AI-generated or altered content that looks real, unless it's lawful, the people shown have agreed, and it's clearly labelled.
  • Anything that threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, its friendly relations with other countries or public order, or that incites an offence.
  • Viruses, malware or any code meant to damage or take over a system.
  • Anything that breaks any law in force.

#Campaigns we don't accept

  • Products or services that are illegal in India or where the campaign runs.
  • Online money games, betting or gambling, which the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 bans from being advertised.
  • Surrogate ads for alcohol or tobacco, and anything barred by the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act or similar laws.
  • Unregistered investment advice, guaranteed-return schemes, crypto pump schemes or unregulated loan apps.
  • Fake reviews or testimonials, or reviews written by people who didn't use the product.
  • Paid promotions without a clear disclosure, or claims a creator can't honestly back up.
  • Dark patterns, such as false urgency, hidden costs or tricks that stop people cancelling, which the Central Consumer Protection Authority's 2023 guidelines prohibit.

#Using the platform

  • Don't try to access accounts, data or parts of the system that aren't yours, or test our security without written permission.

  • Don't share your account, access codes or sign-in codes.
  • Don't send spam, chain messages or unsolicited marketing through Retales.
  • Don't buy or sell fake followers, likes, views or engagement, or use Retales to manipulate platform numbers.
  • Don't use Retales to take an active engagement's work outside the agreed arrangement.
  • Don't misuse the Retales name, logo or staff names, or pretend to act for us.

Found a security problem? Please report it privately to grievance@retales.in and give us a reasonable time to fix it before telling anyone. We won't take action against good-faith research that follows these rules.

#What happens if the rules are broken

  • We may remove or block the content, warn you, pause work, suspend or close the account, or hold payouts linked to the breach.
  • We act within the time the IT Rules set once we receive a valid government or court order, or a complaint the law requires us to act on.
  • We may keep records of removed content and report it to the authorities where the law requires, for at least 180 days, or longer if an investigation needs it.
  • If we remove your content or restrict your account, we'll tell you why where we can, and you can ask us to review the decision through our Grievance redressal process.
