#Lost money? Act right now

#If you face fraud, impersonation or a scam

  1. Stop respondingDon't reply, click, call back or pay. Scammers rely on urgency, so slowing down is your best defence.
  2. Secure your moneyIf you paid or shared bank details, call 1930 and your bank right away to block the transaction or account.
  3. Save the evidenceTake screenshots of chats, profiles, numbers, emails, links, UPI IDs and transaction references. Don't delete anything.
  4. Verify with RetalesIf someone used our name, check with us through an official channel listed below before doing anything else.
  5. Report itReport to cybercrime.gov.in, to Retales, and to the platform where it happened (WhatsApp, Instagram, email provider).
  6. Lock down your accountsChange passwords you may have shared, sign out of unknown devices and turn on two-step verification.

#What not to do

Do
  • Verify every request through an official Retales channel
  • Type website addresses yourself instead of clicking links
  • Check the payee name before any payment
  • Ask questions and take your time
  • Report suspicious contact, even if you didn't lose money
Don't
  • Share OTPs, passwords, UPI PINs, card numbers or CVVs
  • Install screen-sharing or remote-access apps at a stranger's request
  • Scan a QR code or enter a PIN to “receive” money
  • Pay fees to apply for a job, unlock a brand deal or get “guaranteed” results
  • Pay anyone who promises to recover lost money for a fee
  • Delete chats or evidence, or confront the scammer

#Never share sensitive information

#How to verify official Retales communication

  • Emails come only from addresses ending in @retales.in.
  • WhatsApp messages come only from our verified number +91 9889889866.
  • Our websites are retales.in, retalesmedia.com and retalesmedia.in. Check the spelling carefully: fake sites swap look-alike characters (a capital I for a small l, a zero for an o) or add words, like retales-offers.com.
  • Payments are made only against a GST invoice. Confirm bank or UPI details by email or WhatsApp with us before paying, especially if they have “changed”.
  • We never promise instant results, guaranteed followers or overnight sales.

Retales sometimes works with affiliate and partner websites, for example for payments, campaigns or registrations. Before paying or sharing any information on a partner site:

  • Make sure the link reached you from an official Retales channel.
  • Confirm the site with us by email or WhatsApp if you're unsure.
  • Check the full web address and that it uses a secure (https) connection.
  • Check the payee name on the payment screen before you confirm.
